Title: UPNFM Wolves Make Sensational Transfer Deal; Secure Multi-Champion Erick Andino Portillo

Published: July 10, 2023

The UPNFM Wolves have successfully wrapped up their transfer market activities with the signing of a highly accomplished and former national team player. Erick Andino Portillo, a 33-year-old striker, will don the UPNFM Wolves jersey as he embarks on a new chapter in his football career.

Portillo, who recently played a pivotal role in Olancho FC’s journey to the Clausura 2023 grand final, caught the attention of both local and international clubs. However, it was the “Pack” who ultimately secured his signature, forming a contractual agreement that will see Portillo representing them for a year.

Originally announced as a Victoria signing just a few weeks ago, unfortunate disagreements with the Jaiba Brava board led to the deal falling apart. Nevertheless, UPNFM Wolves stepped in and offered Portillo another chance to continue showcasing his talent.

Throughout his illustrious career, hailing from Santa Barbara, Portillo has represented multiple teams, leaving an indelible mark with each. Real Juventud, Olimpia, Victoria, Motagua, Real de Minas, Atlético Júnior, Honduras Progreso, Olancho FC, and now UPN are all clubs that Portillo has proudly represented. Additionally, he has also had the privilege of wearing the National Team jersey.

In another exciting transfer development, the team under the guidance of Héctor Castellón has also secured the services of Jorge Aguilar, a promising 22-year-old forward. Aguilar, who recently completed a month-long trial with UPNFM Wolves, will be vying for a chance to impress in the first team. He joins the squad after honing his skills at the Eagles Sports Academy in Taulabé.

Looking ahead, UPNFM Wolves have planned an upcoming tour of Belize next week, where they will face off against two local clubs. Among their opponents will be Verdes FC, a team that has not only qualified for the Central American Cup but will also go head-to-head with Motagua and Olancho FC in the group stage.

With the new signings and their upcoming tour, UPNFM Wolves are undoubtedly gearing up for an exciting and competitive season ahead. Fans can’t wait to see how Portillo’s wealth of experience and Aguilar’s budding talent will contribute to the team’s performance on the pitch.
