Still satisfactions for the Enduro blues, who also close the fourth day of competition scoring important times and, above all, confirming themselves in the lead both in the World Championship and in the Junior Trophy, further increasing the advantage accumulated in the three previous days. The Thursday held in Val Curone also gave the first Italian affirmation in the overall riders classification: Andrea Verona who, after seeing his personal affirmation vanish for a few seconds on Tuesday and Wednesday, for the first time since the beginning of the Six Days of Enduro (now in its 95th edition) he set the best time, stemming the overwhelming power of the Spaniard Josep Garcia, second in less than 2 seconds.

The third test of the day, the Enduro Test in Selvapiana, was decisive, in which Garcia, winner of all the other tests in front of Verona, had some difficulties, leaving almost 25 seconds on the course for the Italian, which did not the opportunity slipped away, winning the test with about a second ahead of team mate Davide Guarneri. The overall ranking remains unchanged, with Italy extending over Spain, the USA, Sweden and France. In the Junior, the blue domination continues almost unchallenged (yesterday Lorenzo Macoritto and Matteo Pavoni were the best in the category, with Manolo Morettini eighth): Italy always in the lead, while the USA collapse which, overtaken by France and Sweden, slide at the foot of the podium. A completely different music in the Women’s World Cup, where the Americans led by Brandy Richards are very strong and keep the English and Spanish at bay. Italy slips to last place.

The results of the Pavia people

The Trophy Club was very hard fought, where the Italian teams confirmed themselves as great protagonists. The Moto Club Pavia can smile, which sees the senior team, composed of Niccolò Bruschi, Niccolò Scarpelli and Guido Conforti (all three placed yesterday among the first 31 classified), widely in the top ten and fighting for the high areas. Well, overall, also the Moto Club Pavia B, which has Walter Bossi (yesterday 33rd overall) the great driver. Matteo Pietranera and Edgardo Paganini also did well. The performance of the Pavia junior team was extremely positive, with Alessandro Guerra 110th yesterday, Daniele Matti 166th and Giorgio Viglino, the best, even 22nd; as for the Moto Club Pavia A, Maycol Agnelli finished 120th, Roberto Mattalini 249th and Carlo Tagliani 159th. The Valli Oltrepo Team race, made up of Omar Pometti, Paolo Ricotti and Federico Assente, is proceeding discreetly, while the situation of the Valle Staffora Moto Club, a team made up of Massimo Bergamaschi, Fabio Fasola and Alberto Costa, remains stable. Finally, the Buscone brothers, of the Busco Bros Team: at the moment Riccardo is leading the ranking in the family, ahead of Paolo and Francesco. The Moto Club Pavia C race is proceeding calmly, with Elio Attilio Guberti, Marco Ghezzi and Riccardo Introini in contention.
