Draw in Castano, 1-0 victory at Parisi thanks to Bahirov Neroverdi more prolific in attack, Rossoneri more solid in defense

Vogherese and Castanese are approaching the play-off final on Sunday after having experienced a similar path over the course of the season. In the final classification of group A of Excellence, Castano Primo’s team finished in second place with 62 points, two more than Voghe, who won 60 on the field, a total from which two penalties were subtracted. Alfio Garavaglia’s neroverdi have achieved one more victory than Voghe, 19 to 18 the count; the number of defeats was identical, 6 each, while Giacomotti’s team scored six draws against Castanese’s 5.

The roadmap of the two teams, on the other hand, differs in terms of goals scored. Castano Primo’s team has in fact archived the championship with the best attack of the group, by virtue of the 68 goals to its credit; in this ranking, Voghe, with a tally of 55 goals, was placed in fifth place. In the advanced section of the Castanese, the personal score of Stefano Gibellini stands out, author of 20 goals (with 9 penalties converted), which awarded him the top scorer of the tournament, shared with Pedrabissi (Sestese, 4-0 defeat at Parisi by the Rossoneri in the first round play off). In the Voghe home, the title of most prolific scorer goes to Alex Romano, who has scored 16 goals in the league, with two penalties scored.

Stronger defense

If Castanese prevails in the challenge of attacks, Voghe proved to be more solid defensively, with 29 goals conceded against 32 collected by rivals. Considering that the play off final will be played in Castano Primo, with the hosts who will have the advantage of moving on to the next phase even with a draw, it is also useful to analyze the internal performance of Castanese. In home games, the neroverdi collected 31 points (9 wins, 4 draws and 2 defeats, remedied with Sestese and Ardor Lazzate); on the other hand, looking at Voghe’s journey away from Parisi, it can be deduced that the Rossoneri have achieved 25 points (7 wins, 4 draws and 4 defeats). The two seasonal direct clashes smile at Voghe; in the first leg match, played on 19 December, the Rossoneri drew 1-1 in Castano Primo, with a Rossoneri advantage signed by Romano and a replica of the Gibellini bomber. The return match, played at Parisi on 10 April, saw the Giacomotti band rejoice, who won by measure with the decisive seal of Stanislav Bahirov. –
