Volpianese, a test of strength The year ends in a great way

Proof of strength of the Volpianese in the tenth and last official race of 2021 in group A of B1 women. The formation of the president Barbara Landra, in front of the public friend of the Pala Unità d’Italia of Volpiano, overcame the Visette, Settimo Milanese’s team in full salvation race 3-0.

With this victory, combined with the forced stop due to Covid of the match between Palau and Legnano (postponed in the same group for the same reason also Caselle-Acqui Terme), the Volpianese has hooked Legnano in the standings, next opponent on Saturday 8 January, in what is a real playoff match on the last day of the first leg.

Moving on now to analyze the Volpianese’s victory against Visette, coach Stefano Andreotti has to do without the injured Tessari gang and in his place he lines up Martina Re, with the rest of the formation that instead does not differ from the previous ones: Bazzarone in dribble, Giorgia Andreotti on the contrary, with Martina Re in the band the twin Valentina plays, Neffati and Bruno only the bands and the free is always Ghirotto. The Volpianese in the first set does not miss a beat in every fundamental: the Volpianese team immediately sets its pace, with great intensity and for the Visette the evening soon becomes dark. The Volpianese dominates and in the end gets the deserved victory with a clear 25-12. In the second half, on the other hand, thanks to a little relaxation, the Volpianese goes down 7-14, but then has a great reaction and, with a great defense, goes to 14-14. The race was then point by point up to 20-20, before the Volpianese made the decisive break, going on to win 25-21. Finally, in the third set, Bergese enters in place of Neffati, but the substance does not change: the Volpianese returns to be the mistress of the field, always remaining ahead in the score: the Visettes are unable to counter the attacks of the hosts, especially in the center with Bruno and opposite with Giorgia Andreotti: it closes 25-18. –
