Rome, 12 March 2022 – Paris bombed by enemy jets, is the video posted by Ukrainian Ministry of Defense on twitter to encourage the West to create a ‘no-fly zone’ in the skies of Ukraine, thus preventing raids by Russian fighters. The war between Moscow and Kiev is also in the media, and the Ukrainians are winning it: from the Russian side, websites and information are being obscured, while for Zelensky and his fellow citizens, web and social networks have become a showcase to ask for help, to reiterate the will not to give up to the invader.

So faced with the constant refusal of NATO and the EU to ban the skies of Ukraine, unable to face the risk of participation in the war (with the specter of a nuclear confrontation), the army of Kiev nonetheless shows everyone, with a film clearly ‘fake’, what would happen in any European capital if it were bombed.

And what if not the Ville Lumière. Paris as a shocking example of devastation, which suddenly falls on normal everyday life: a girl poses for a photograph with the Eiffel Tower behind her, and in an instant she changes everything. Paris is bombed, and the steel symbol of the French capital is shrouded in black smoke. You can hear people shouting, the film is a montage: a shot from afar of the affected area of the city seems to be taken from any window, with a mobile phone, like one of the many videos posted on social networks by involuntary witnesses. Then the alarm sirens, and the fighters whizzing menacingly over the heads of the Parisians. All very real, and disturbing.
Finally the inscription in English: “NATO close the skies over Ukraine, or at least give Kiev the jets to fight”. The dramatic appeal continues: “Think if it happened in another European capital. We will fight to the end. Give us a chance to live. Then a quote from President Volodymir Zelensky: because if we fall, you fall too.
