Due to bad weather, the New York Mets were forced to postpone their home opener at Citi Field by one day. The game against the Brewers, which was originally scheduled for Thursday at 1:10 pm, will now take place on Friday at 1:40 pm. The gates will open at 11:40 am, and parking lots will open one hour earlier.
Thankfully, Friday’s weather is looking much better with dry conditions, some sun, and temperatures in the 50s. Tickets for the postponed game on Thursday can be used for the rescheduled game on Friday.
The Mets had been monitoring the weather closely, as rain was expected to affect the area from Wednesday afternoon through Thursday night. Despite the rain, the highest chance of precipitation was forecasted to be east of New York City on Thursday.
Looking ahead, the weekend is expected to be mostly dry with only a few spotty showers possible on Saturday night. However, rain could return in the middle of next week. Temperatures are expected to remain in the 50s for the next 10 days. Stay up to date with local news and weather by subscribing to our free newsletters.
