Yang Siqi Makes History as First Chinese Surfer to Qualify for Olympics

She emerged as one of the top four players in the crucial sixth round of the competition, securing her ticket to the Paris Olympics with an impressive performance. Reflecting on her achievement, Yang Siqi expressed her surprise at qualifying for the Olympics, stating, “Before the sixth round, I didn’t realize that I would qualify, so I just wanted to relax and show my skills. Today’s conditions were tough, but I gave it my all.”
