“Ylenia is BACK”. With this claim, and with a video published on Instagram inspired by the film Men in Black, Betclic Apogee Esports officially announces the entry into the team of Ylenia Frezza, the team’s first Italian content creator.
For the former FIFA streamer n°1, now an appreciated journalist for Sportitalia and presenter of House Of Calcio, it is at the same time a return. Last season, in fact, Ylenia had already collaborated with the esports team with the “Ylenia on Tour”, a journey in stages in the stadiums created with the aim of bringing the “virtual” (esports) closer to the “real” ( football played), telling the community of gaming enthusiasts about the atmosphere and emotions of the live experience at a sporting event.
The 2024 European football championship will be the protagonist of the new content made by Ylenia Frezza & Betclic Apogee. In fact, EuroStorie will start in February, a journey that has the future as its destination, i.e. UEFA Euro 2024, but which, week by week, will also look to the past.
EuroStorie will have as its main topic the past editions of the tournament, to each of which an episode will be dedicated, and the stories of its main players, from Yashin to Suárez, from Beckenbauer to Panenka, up to van Basten, Totti and the most recent champions . Objects, quotes, images, curiosities and the splendid setting of the Arena Piola in Milan will contribute to making this new emotional journey unique.
But the new “marriage” between Ylenia Frezza and Betclic Apogee will not be limited to this. After touring the stadiums of Italy last season, Ylenia will fly to Portugal to talk about the Liga Portugal Betclic and the main clubs in the Portuguese top division. A story from the past that lives in the present and travels towards the future. After all, “Ylenia is BACK”.
Originally from Orte, in Lazio, Ylenia began to develop a passion for football thanks to the popular football-themed video game FIFA (now EA Sports FC 24). From there, during the pandemic, she debuted with her first live shows on Twitch, which quickly established her as the most followed FIFA streamer on the platform, making her a reference figure in the Italian sports scene.
From esports to football, then, it’s a short step. With “Ylenia On Tour” the passion finally blossoms. 11 stages of a journey that saw her as a guide through the “temples” of support, from provincial football to the Champions League nights, from the Six Nations of rugby to the Euroderby between Milan and Inter, up to the UEFA Euro 2024 qualifiers of the Italian national football team, the upcoming edition of the competition which will be the protagonist of the EuroStorie format.
