Netflix Italy has announced that, after the success of ‘Tear along the edges’ (2021), Zerocalcare is working on a new animation series. The details are very scarce, almost nil, but the name of Zerocalcare (pseudonym of Michele Rech) was enough to immediately create more than positive reactions on social networks. After all, we are talking about the most loved cartoonist of the moment, here in Italy, and who was able to debut in streaming with an animated series that was enthusiastically received (in fact, ‘Tear along the edges’).
Netflix has added a “spolilerino: in this new animated project”, we read on Twitter, “Zerocalcare returns with all its narrative world, its unique language and its unmistakable characters in six half-hour episodes“. The format, therefore, is similar to that of ‘Strappare along the edges’, which was marked in a similar number of episodes and lasted substantially the same number of minutes. Beyond this it is not known, for example if it is the adaptation of a pre-existing comic or a completely original work, and we do not know the release date in streaming.
