Honda Unveils New Electric Two-Wheeler “Motocompacto” at CES 2024

Honda has brought back a classic from the 1980s with the launch of its new electric two-wheeled vehicle, the “Motocompacto”. The original “Sheepboy” was launched nearly 40 years ago, and the new electric version was recently displayed at the CES 2024 exhibition.

The Motocompacto is priced at US$995 (approximately HK$7,768) according to Honda’s official US store. This electric two-wheeler is designed for modern urban commuting and can achieve zero carbon emissions.

One of the most unique features of the Motocompacto is its ability to be folded into a suitcase-like state, making it incredibly convenient for storage in narrow spaces, public transportation, or the back compartment of a private car.

The compact size of the Motocompacto is just 29.2 inches long, 3.7 inches wide, and 21.1 inches high when folded. Despite its small size, it can reach a top speed of 15 mph and has a maximum range of 12 miles. It can also be fully charged in just 3.5 hours.

To enhance the driving experience, Honda has also developed a Motocompacto mobile app. This app allows drivers to monitor the vehicle’s battery level and health, as well as use the built-in trip calculator to estimate remaining power when reaching a destination.

For those interested in purchasing the Motocompacto, it is now available at Honda’s official US store with a suggested retail price of US$995. With its convenient size and environmentally friendly design, the Motocompacto is sure to appeal to urban commuters looking for a practical and fun way to get around.
