GIGABYTE Introduces Low Profile GeForce RTX 4060 Graphics Card
The recent debut of the GeForce RTX 4080 Super may mark the end of the Ada Lovelace GPU architecture, leaving uncertainty regarding any products between the GeForce RTX 4080 Super and GeForce RTX 4090. However, several interesting products have emerged within the Ada Lovelace GPU architecture, such as the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti SSD introduced by ASUS and both ASUS and GIGABYTE launching Low Profile versions of the GeForce RTX 4060 graphics card.
Among these products, the GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 4060 OC Low Profile 8G has captured the attention of users. As the first half-height GeForce RTX 4060 graphics card on the market, this graphics card was announced in July 2023 and has been launched in Taiwan. The entire graphics card size is 182 x 69 x 40mm, complying with Low Profile specifications.
Despite the space restrictions, GIGABYTE provides standard 2x HDMI 2.1 + 2x DisplayPort 1.4a outputs on the graphics card, as well as incorporating an interesting design to accommodate the four output terminals without affecting the transmission bandwidth.
The GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 4060 OC Low Profile 8G is an overclocked version, featuring a clock speed of 2475MHz, 15MHz higher than the default version of the GeForce RTX 4060 graphics card. In addition, the graphics card adopts a single PCIe 8 PIN power supply design and a U-shaped heat pipe design due to space restrictions.
In terms of performance, the GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 4060 OC Low Profile 8G outperformed the MSI GeForce RTX 4060 Cyclone in a 3DMark multi-digit test project, and exhibited better temperature and heat dissipation performance under the pressure of Furmark software.
This Low Profile version of the GeForce RTX 4060 has impressed users with its performance and efficient heat dissipation, making use of the advantages brought by the Ada Lovelace GPU architecture. Currently, the GIGABYTE GeForce RTX 4060 OC Low Profile 8G is the only option available in Taiwan, providing a compact yet powerful solution for users.
