“The Sinking City 2” Released at Xbox Partner Preview
The highly anticipated sequel to the action-adventure mystery horror game “The Sinking City” has been released at the Xbox Partner Preview by Ukrainian studio Frogwares. Titled “The Sinking City 2”, this game is set in the United States in the 1920s and is described as a third-person Cthulhu survival horror experience.
Developed with the cutting-edge UE5 engine, “The Sinking City 2” promises to fully immerse players in the flooded city of Arkham. As they navigate through dark alleys, decaying mansions, and intricate mazes, players must remain vigilant against the ancient and terrifying beings that lurk within. Survival is key in this eerie and unsettling world.
Players will encounter familiar creatures from Lovecraft’s works such as the Deep Ones, Mi-Go, and Mysterious Maniacs, as well as new strange creatures under the Cthulhu mythology system. Armed with an array of weapons, players must strategize and defeat these otherworldly foes to progress through the game.
In a surprising twist, it was revealed that a portion of the funds raised for the remake of Frogwares’ previous work “Sherlock Holmes: The Awakening” on Kickstarter will be used as a protective measure amidst the Ukraine-Russia war. This decision reflects Frogwares’ commitment to prioritizing the safety and well-being of their team members while continuing to develop innovative and engaging games.
