A good month before ACHEMA 2024 opens on June 10th, one thing is already clear: with more than 60 percent of international exhibitors, this year’s leading trade fair for the global process industry will be the most international ACHEMA of all time. A diverse accompanying program from well-known partners awaits participants from 130 countries.
From June 10th to 14th, 2024, 2,800 exhibitors from more than 50 nations will show their product innovations for the global process industry at the Frankfurt exhibition center. “The high participation of exhibitors from abroad shows that ACHEMA is also becoming increasingly important internationally. Compared to the previous event, a total of over a quarter more exhibitors have registered and the exhibition space is again almost a third larger than last. “We are largely fully booked,” said Dr. Björn Mathes, Managing Director of DECHEMA Exhibitions GmbH.
The lecture program, which has been fully integrated into the trade fair events since ACHEMA 2022, is also reporting record numbers: over 900 lectures, discussion rounds and workshops from more than 1,000 speakers await ACHEMA visitors in up to 25 parallel strands. “ACHEMA offers the perfect platform to present the latest innovations, solutions and future trends in the pharmaceutical and chemical industries and to exchange ideas with those who can benefit from our sustainability-oriented solutions,” says Norbert Strieder, Head of Marketing Chemical Technologies at GEA.
Six Innovation Stages on the topics of Process, Pharma, Green, Lab, Digital and Hydrogen address the central challenges that affect the process industry today and in the coming years. A focus of ACHEMA 2024 – in addition to solutions for sustainable transformation – is innovations in the field of pharmaceuticals and biotechnology: “Our innovation map ranges from integrated engineering, complex production simulations to sustainable production concepts. The ZETA Pharma Innovation Stage is the perfect platform to share our innovations with the global process industry and accelerate technical progress,” says Andreas Marchler, Managing Director of ZETA.
Diverse accompanying program from well-known partners
In addition, ACHEMA 2024 offers a diverse accompanying program from numerous well-known partners: In Hall 11.0, ARC Advisory Group, NAMUR and ZVEI are once again organizing the “Automation in Dialogue” forum. On all five days of the exhibition there will be varied lectures and discussions on the important topics of automation technology in the process industry.
Once again, the final of the AIRA Robot Challenge is part of ACHEMA. In Hall 11.1, the five final teams will be showing live throughout the week how they complete tasks in simulated scenarios of a chemical plant or laboratory using remote control of their robot. This time the focus is on teleoperation, i.e. the use of systems that enable remote control.
As part of an industry initiative around the Flow Chemistry Pavilion, a number of market competitors are organizing the Flow Chemistry Symposium on June 12th and 13th, where participants will immerse themselves in the field of flow chemistry under the leadership of renowned scientists and industry experts. Sessions will feature case studies and best practices that highlight the possibilities of continuous manufacturing technology.
On all five days of the exhibition, the North American Scientific Equipment and Furniture Association (SEFA) welcomes visitors to its SEFA Theater in Hall 12.0 and provides insights into global laboratory design. Other topics include sustainability in the laboratory and the digitalization of the laboratory infrastructure.
Also at ACHEMA, DEXPI is organizing the Process Industry Data Model Integration Congress 3.0 (PIDMIC 3.0) on June 11th and 12th. This covers the latest developments in data integration and focuses on practical applications, standardization efforts and technological breakthroughs.
Further highlights of the accompanying program are the ISSA symposium on hazardous substances in maintenance work, the ELRIG Drug Discovery Forum, the VCW event on strategies for a sustainable green chemical industry, the VDI information platform for engineers in production and the India Day, which is dedicated to one of the currently dedicated to the most dynamic and promising markets.
“In addition to all of these program highlights, which are all included in the ticket, ACHEMA offers endless networking opportunities and is therefore more than just a trade fair. It is a platform for technology and change where ideas are born and partnerships are forged,” says Mathes. “ACHEMA 2024 will inspire, inform and at the same time encourage on the path to climate neutrality.”
ACHEMA is the world forum for chemical engineering, process engineering and biotechnology. The leading global trade fair for the process industry takes place in Frankfurt am Main every three years. The spectrum includes everything that is needed in the chemical industry, pharmaceutical and food production, from laboratory equipment, pumps and analysis devices to packaging machines, kettles and stirrers, to safety technology, materials and software. The accompanying congress complements the diversity of topics covered by the exhibition with scientific lectures and numerous guest and partner events. The next ACHEMA will take place from June 10th to 14th, 2024 in Frankfurt am Main.
