The highly anticipated sequel to the popular cyberpunk ADV game “Read Only Memories: Neurodiver” is under development and is scheduled to be released on various platforms. In Japan, the game will be published by Chorus Worldwide and the digital version is set to be released on May 16th, with the boxed version following on July 4th.
“Read Only Memories: Neurodiver” takes place in the new San Francisco of 2064 and follows the story of the super-powered detective heroine, ES88, as she battles against rogue AIs. The game, which is a sequel to the well-received “2064: Read Only Memories”, offers players a unique point-and-click visual light novel casual text adventure experience.
In the upcoming sequel, players will once again navigate the futuristic world of 2064 San Francisco as they control ES88 in a quest to track down and confront the new superpower criminal, “Golden Butterfly”. The game introduces a new companion, Neurodiver, who has the ability to delve into people’s memories and manipulate them using PSI energy.
Players will be faced with challenging decisions as they guide ES88 and Neurodiver through the psychological consciousness of “Golden Butterfly” to uncover the truth behind the chaos in New San Francisco. The game promises multiple outcomes based on the choices made by the players.
As the release date approaches, the official announcement also revealed details about pre-order options for the boxed version of the game. Fans who opt for the Collector’s Edition will receive bonus items such as an art book, stickers, ES88 acrylic charms, and Neurodiver plush dolls.
