Bungie Announces New Free Events Series “Into the Light” to Fill the Void Left by Destiny 2: The Final Shape Delay

Bungie, the popular video game developer, has recently revealed plans to launch a new series of free events for all Guardians to enjoy, in order to fill the void left after the delay of Destiny 2: The Final Shape until the summer. This new batch of content, called Into the Light, is set to launch in April and promises to offer exciting new experiences for players.

One of the key features of Into the Light is a new game mode called Onslaught, part of a wave-based horde mode where a fireteam of three Guardians must work together to stop 10 waves of enemies. For those looking for an even greater challenge, a more difficult variant will be available, with 50 waves divided into five groups of 10 each from different enemy factions. This harder version will only be open to pre-made teams and will provide a true endgame challenge.

In Onslaught, the objective is to defend against attacking enemies using points. Players will be able to collect scraps and earn points to create and upgrade defense elements such as turrets and tripwires. The catch is that the point to defend will rotate around the map, adding an extra layer of strategy to the gameplay. Fans of Gears of War’s Horde mode will likely find the setup familiar and engaging.

Aside from the Onslaught mode, Into the Light will also bring other exciting additions, such as Shaxx acting as a vendor and offering some of his arsenal to players. More details about these upcoming features will be revealed during next week’s Into the Light livestream.
