EA’s subscription service is raising prices dramatically

After Spotify and some other services raised their prices, EA-Play is also going into the next round of price increases. And plenty of it.

Those: EA Play

Prices are currently rising in many areas, and subscription services are also becoming more and more expensive. After Spotify announced that they wanted to raise prices in some countries, the game subscription EA Play from publisher Electronic Arts is now also increasing prices significantly. The publisher recently announced this on its website. In some countries, such as Great Britain, subscription service prices are increasing by as much as 80 percent.

Germany is not spared

While we have been spared from Spotify’s price increases, at least for the time being, EA is also getting serious here. Subscribers have already been informed by email. The basic subscription increases by around two euros per month more, instead of 3.99 euros, now at 5.99 euros. The standard annual subscription now costs 39.99 euros instead of just 24.99 euros. However, with the annual subscription you save a whopping 44 percent compared to the normal monthly subscription. For EA-Pro you pay 16.99 euros per month instead of 14.99 and for the EA-Pro annual subscription you pay 119.99 instead of 99.99 euros.

As part of a standard subscription to EA Play, you have access to a collection of classic and older EA titles, pre-release trials, in-game rewards and various discounts. With EA Play Pro you not only get the benefits of the standard tier, but also immediate access to every new release from Electronic Arts without having to buy the full version. Whether it is still worth maintaining this subscription is up to each individual.
