Alfa Romeo pulled back the curtain last week and the Milano was on stage. The 4.17 meter long compact SUV is the first model from the Italians that can also be fully electric if desired. The design of the shapely city crossover with narrow overhangs and a steeply sloping rear should not only make the hearts of convinced Alfisti beat faster. Contrary to what the name Milano suggests, the electric version is built in Poland. This ultimately brought politicians into the picture; a government official explained that the model name Milano was prohibited. Because the product is not made in Italy. With the original name, Alfa Romeo wanted to honor the city where the brand’s history began in 1910.
