“Falcón 9″ visible from Puerto Rico – Metro Puerto Rico

The Space X rocket, Falcon 9, was captured on video tonight as it was visible in Puerto Rico when it took off from the state of Florida.

The Caribbean Astronomy Society (SAC) reported that between 7:12 and 7:13 p.m. today, the Space X rocket could be seen from the Caribbean after being launched at 7:05 p.m.

The rocket was visible from Puerto Rico and could be captured on video because, according to the SAC, the rockets are launched with a horizontal trajectory to begin orbiting the planet shortly after takeoff.

The SAC further explained that the rocket may appear to disappear while in view because it marks the moment when the second stage of the rocket begins, reaching a speed of 16,300 miles per hour as it orbits the Earth over the region.

Falcon 9 is on a mission to deploy a group of 23 Starlink satellites into space as part of a growing constellation aimed at providing satellite internet services.
