Cell phone photo for meter reading
In addition to timekeeping clocks, my apartment also has an electricity meter, several heat cost allocators and a water meter. All of them are read remotely, except for the water meter, which was only replaced last year and still relies on the cooperation of users to read it. Today I received an email asking me to pass on the meter reading to the water supplier. I should also take a photo of the meter reading. For the first time I don’t reach for a flashlight, pen and piece of paper, but take a photo of the water meter with my cell phone and read the meter reading from the photo with a flash.
