Mark Zuckerberg, 19 years old and a psychology student at Harvard University, launched “Facemash” in 2003. A website where university students can rate the attractiveness of fellow students. Zuckerberg stole the students’ pictures from Facebook, Harvard’s student directory. The site is taken down again by the university after a few days and Zuckerberg is threatened with expulsion from the university.
