Fujifilm GFX100 II is officially launched in Taiwan!
The FUJIFILM GFX100 II, unveiled in the fall at the Fuji X Summit, has now been officially launched in Taiwan with a recommended selling price of NT$232,000 for a single body camera. This medium format camera is the successor of the GFX100 and boasts significant improvements in terms of performance.
The GFX100 II has a brand new 100 million pixel CMOS sensor, which reads up to 2 times faster than its predecessor and provides a 30% increase in light input. Paired with the X-Processor 5 image processor, the camera delivers higher autofocus and continuous shooting performance, along with purer high ISO image quality performance.
Thanks to the new sensor and image processor, the GFX100 II also offers high-speed continuous shooting performance of up to 8 frames per second and comes with a maximum five-axis shutter speed compensation of 8 levels for improved image stabilization during handheld shooting in low-light environments. The sensor displacement capability also allows the camera to capture ultra-high-resolution images of up to 400 million pixels using the phase shift method.
Another highlight of the GFX100 II is its advanced AI autofocus capabilities. The camera features subject detection autofocus powered by deep learning AI technology, enabling unprecedented autofocus tracking and detection of human faces, eyes, as well as animals, birds, cars, motorcycles, bicycles, planes, and trains.
In addition to its impressive still photography features, the GFX100 II also offers significant improvements in its video recording specifications. It can provide 8K 30p, 4K 60p, and FHD 120p recording capabilities, along with support for 4:2:2 10-bit internal recording. Notably, itās also the first camera in the GFX series to support F-Log 2, offering enhanced flexibility in post-production.
Accompanying the GFX100 II is the new film simulation Reala Ace, reproducing colors faithfully and suitable for all shooting subjects.
The GFX100 II is expected to be launched on September 28, with a recommended price of US$7,499, approximately NT$240,300. It offers a wide range of features, including the ability to support up to 8K 30p, 4K 60p, FHD 120p recording, and it also supports encoding formats such as H.265 and ProRes.
The camera is equipped with a 3.2-inch 2.36 million dot three-way flip-up LCD, a 0.64-inch 9.44 million dot OVF, and various ports including USB-C, 3.5mm headphone/microphone, HDMI-A, and LAN Port. Additionally, it supports CFexpress Type-B/SD dual slot and powered by a NP-W235 lithium battery. The compact body of the camera measures 152.4 Ć 117.4 Ć 98.6mm and weighs 1,030g.
With its impressive features and improvements, the Fujifilm GFX100 II is set to be a powerful and versatile medium format camera that will appeal to both professional and enthusiast photographers.
