Fujifilm to Release X100V Successor, Photos Leaked

Fujifilm is set to hold an X Summit conference on the 20th of this month, where it is expected to unveil the successor to its popular fixed-focus digital camera, the X100V. The X100V, which was launched in 2020, is now 4 years old and if nothing unexpected happens, it will receive an update.

Recently, the well-known Fujifilm news website “Fuji Rumors” shared leaked photos of the X100V successor, tentatively called the X100VI. Despite heavy “checkers” on the photos, differences between the leaked photos and the X100V are noticeable.

One of the noticeable changes in the leaked X100VI photos is the additional logo next to the “DISP/BACK” button. Additionally, according to tipster Patrick FujiRumors, the X100VI will not have a D-Pad, meaning users will have to rely more on the touch screen for operation.

In the leaked spy photos of the X100VI, it is evident that the model position and shutter dial are covered, indicating that there will be major innovations in these areas.

According to “Fuji Rumors,” the estimated price of the Fujifilm X100VI will be $200 higher than that of the X100V, with sources quoting the price at US$1,599 (approximately HK$12,000).

Photography enthusiasts and Fujifilm fans are eagerly awaiting the official announcement of the X100V successor at the X Summit conference later this month.
