The Baden-Württemberg paper manufacturer Koehler Group wants to promote the energy transition. The family company in Oberkirch (Ortenaukreis) is converting its power plant from coal to biomass and says it is investing more than 70 million euros in this.
Biomass refers to substances that have a plant or animal origin. This includes, for example, wood.
