The smartphone manufacturer Fairphone and Deutsche Bahn AG have announced that Deutsche Bahn employees can now choose the Fairphone 4 as their company cell phone. The partnership between the provider of environmentally friendly means of transport and Fairphone, a pioneer in sustainable electronics, is a logical step for both sides. Smartphones are an important component for mobile communication in Deutsche Bahn’s day-to-day business.
Deutsche Bahn hopes for a faster and more sustainable Greentech repair service
Fairphone, founded in 2013, attaches particular importance to fair working conditions as well as fair and recycled materials for its smartphones. A total of eight components of the Fairphone 4, including the cameras and the USB port, can be easily replaced with a screwdriver and the cell phone can be repaired cost-effectively and in an environmentally friendly manner.
Deutsche Bahn hopes that the inclusion of the Fairphone 4 in the company’s cell phone portfolio will, among other things, provide a faster and more sustainable repair service for employees.
