Day of very important leaks on new generation iPhones: after discovering that the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max will have exclusive AI functions, a new indiscretion (absolutely to be taken with a pinch of salt, given its scope) reveals that the iPhone 16 lineup will completely change design and will be made up of five smartphones.
With a post about Xin fact, the leaker Majin Buu explained that “I recently came into possession of a table that illustrates theunion of the iPhone 16 line with the iPhone SE line. Based on what is reported there, it seems that Apple is working on an iPhone 16 SE and an iPhone 16 Plus SE, which should be positioned at the low end of the market”. No iPhone SE 4, therefore: the rumor brings to light the hypothesis that iPhone SE 4 has been cancelledwhich has surfaced online several times in recent months.
Majin Buu then continues explaining the design of the iPhone 16 SE and SE Plus: “the two smartphones will have Dynamic Island [come già previsto in passato] and only one rear camera. The screen will remain at 60 Hz and the battery will be reduced”. The iPhone 16 SE brace should go to the detriment of the iPhone 16 Pluswhich apparently would have been set aside by the Cupertino giant: in fact, sales of the iPhone 14 Plus were terrible last year.
The “standard” lineup of 16th generation iPhones will only include iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max, for a total of five iPhones arriving in September. According to the leaker, “iPhone 16 will have a 120Hz screen and two rear cameras, as well as an improved battery. The top of the range will be the two Pro models, which should have several exclusive functions”. In fact, it seems that the battery of the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max will be improved by Apple, thanks also to more generous dimensions of the two smartphones – which however the leak makes no mention of.
The most interesting news, which seems to clash with the rumors according to which the design of the iPhone 16 will remain unchanged compared to the iPhone 15, however, lies in the rear cameras of the new iPhones, which appear “stacked” like those of Samsung’s Galaxy S line smartphones, and no longer in a square-shaped housing. Precisely because of the discrepancy between this rumor and the leaks on the design of the iPhone 16, some comments on Majin Buu’s post have hypothesized that the smartphones shown they will actually be the iPhone 17: the leaker, in this regard, replied that “it’s possible”.
