Microsoft has officially released PC Manager. This is a tool for Windows that is intended to help free and protect the PC from unnecessary data.

Basically, the PC Manager is a hodgepodge of many different features. The main function is very reminiscent of the widely used CCleaner. This allows the program to search for particularly large and/or potentially deleteable files (temporary files, cache, etc.) and remove them at the push of a button.
In addition, autostart elements can also be deactivated and unnecessarily blocked RAM can be released. Pop-up management is intended to reduce annoying messages. All of this may ensure that the PC runs a little more smoothly afterwards. However, you shouldn’t expect big performance miracles.
The PC Manager also has a security area. Like a classic antivirus program, the system can be scanned for possible threats. The program can also be used to install necessary updates or set standard applications for specific purposes.
If desired, the PC Manager can be displayed as a toolbox on the desktop. There you can not only access the various features, but also use shortcuts to predefined websites or other Windows tools such as the calculator.
The PC Manager doesn’t really have any new functions to offer. Rather, existing features are bundled here and presented clearly. The focus is on using it as intuitively as possible, which also appeals to people who may not be very technically versed. The tool is currently being rolled out globally for Windows 10 and Windows 11, but is not yet available in Germany. That is likely to change soon.
