Niantic Launches “Rediscovering Pokemon GO” Campaign
Niantic, the creators of the popular mobile game Pokemon GO, have announced a large-scale revision plan called “Rediscovering Pokemon GO”. This plan will involve significant renovations to visual elements such as map scenes and character styles, with the updates set to be rolled out in stages starting on April 17.
The first phase of the campaign, dubbed “Rediscover Yourself”, will be released on April 17. This update will focus on the Trainer Style and Clothing Store, providing players with more customization options including adjustments to body shape and hairstyle. The aim is to allow players to express their diverse selves in the game.
On April 22, the next phase, “Rediscover the World“, will be unveiled. This update will bring changes to in-game maps, Pokemon encounter screens, battle screens, and other scenes, with each area having a unique appearance based on the player’s location. Players can expect to see environments such as lush forests, bustling towns, tropical beaches, and rugged mountains.
In addition to the world updates on April 22, there will also be a feature called “Rediscovering the Kanto Region”. This feature will see Pokemon from the Kanto region each finding a habitat that suits their ecology, giving players the opportunity to explore and find them in their natural environments.
The final phase of the campaign, “Rediscover the Real World“, is set to be launched on May 7. This update will introduce a new version of the GO Snapshot camera function, allowing players to take photos with up to 3 Pokemon together in the real world.
