In the WhatsApp status you can show your friends for a limited time what you are doing or where you are. The status post can be easily shared in the app on the smartphone. But what does it look like if you use the messenger in the browser via “WhatsApp Web”. Can you share a status post there and see the content of other users?

In the status you can write an image and/or a text that will be visible to contacts in the corresponding tab for 24 hours. For example, you can show all interested friends that you are in a special place without having to send a photo to everyone.

Can you post your own status on WhatsApp Web?
With WhatsApp Web you can use the messenger without a smartphone. But there you have to do without some functions. This includes the WhatsApp status. So you can’t post your own status post for WhatsApp on the PC.
WhatsApp Web: See the status of others on the PC
At least the browser version of the messenger offers the possibility to view current status posts from your contacts. It works like this:
Open WhatsApp Web and log into your account if you haven’t already. Above the chat overview you will see several icons. Tap on the circle sign. Here you will find all current status posts your friends. To see a specific user’s content, click the Right-click the contact name. The status post will be opened. If the status consists of several posts, you can view the different content via the Arrow Icons drive. You can check the status via the “Pause” icon stopto take a closer look. You can use the text bar below to view the status post comment directly.
As in the app, there is no notification for the other user in the browser if you take a screenshot of the corresponding post. You can also view your own status post in the overview if you have previously published it with WhatsApp on your smartphone.
