Chinese developer Leap Studio is set to release their stylish action roguelite game, Realm of Ink, in Early Access on May 17th on Steam. The game, featuring 2.5D Chinese-style ink painting and modern art direction, has been compared to the popular game Hades.
Realm of Ink aims to delve into philosophical themes such as the importance of life, nihilism, and existentialism. Players can expect four acts, eight bosses, and the first playable character, Red the Swordswoman, who has access to three unique weapons. The game will also feature 20 Ink Gem skills, 15 Ink Pets skills, and 150 perks to enhance gameplay.
Leap Studio plans to continuously update the game during Early Access, adding new content such as playable characters, weapons, Ink Pets, bosses, and game mechanics. The full release of Realm of Ink is expected to hit consoles in 2024.
Players can look forward to the endless mode, allowing them to continue playing indefinitely after completing the main storyline. The game’s roadmap will detail upcoming updates and optimizations as development progresses.
