Samsung to Launch New Wearable Galaxy Ring in July
Samsung has announced plans to unveil its new ring-shaped wearable device, the Galaxy Ring, in July of this year. The tech giant will kick off production of around 400,000 units in May to prepare for the launch.
The Galaxy Ring is designed to track, measure, monitor, and upload health, fitness, and sleep-related information. Samsung partnered with Japanese company Meiko to develop the smart ring, as confirmed in a patent description filed in March 2023.
The company teased the Galaxy Ring at the Mobile World Congress 2024 event but did not reveal further details. However, reports suggest that the official unveiling will take place alongside the new generation of Samsung folding smartphones.
Initial production is set at 400,000 units, with plans to adjust production based on market demand. The Galaxy Ring will hit the market in August but will not feature health functions like measuring blood pressure or heart rate at launch.
Samsung is gearing up to make a significant impact in the market with the launch of the Galaxy Ring, promising users an exceptional wearable experience. Stay tuned for more updates on this innovative new device from Samsung.
