Square Enix Adds New Content to “Star Ocean the Second Story R” Update
Square Enix has announced the launch of the Ver1.10 update for “Star Ocean the Second Story R” on Nintendo Switch, PS5, PS4, Steam, and other platforms, with support for Traditional Chinese and other languages. The update adds a plethora of new content for players to experience in this remake of the 1999 classic.
Among the new additions in the update is the introduction of the highest difficulty level, “Chaos”, which will test players’ strategic planning and team-building skills. Players can also look forward to facing new powerful enemies, obtaining new equipment and props, and viewing new character illustrations in events.
One of the highlights of the update is the inclusion of new elite enemies such as the “Ten Sages”, who will pose a greater challenge to players compared to their counterparts in the original story. Defeating these elite enemies will reward players with valuable gems that can be used during surprise moves.
Additionally, players can now create new weapons and equipment through the prop-making skill or by defeating elite enemies. The update also includes new NPC illustrations and collection elements, allowing players to view character illustrations and replay events at their leisure.
Furthermore, a new repeated play function has been added to assist players after clearing the game, offering various convenient features such as inheriting storage data and choosing whether to inherit levels and other content.
