The tab situation has become a bit confusing, but at least now I know exactly how confusing

I suspect I have a lot of tabs open. The Framework laptop tends to overheat, individual browser tabs often crash, and once or twice a day either Firefox closes or the entire device restarts. It’s not bad, it’s quick and I haven’t lost any data as a result.

Maybe this sensitivity is because the vents are on the bottom, underneath which is usually an electric blanket and/or my thighs. If I were to work at a table, the laptop could ventilate freely, but I never do that.

Maybe it doesn’t tend to overheat at all, but rather either the laptop or the current version of Firefox (or both) are so powerful that I can have more tabs open than ever, and then of course I do that. There are some indications that this is the case. I have been using the very good Firefox extension “Tree Style Tab” for two years and can therefore have many more tabs open at the same time than before. Because the tabs are displayed in a tree structure, I don’t see them all at the same time. There are now probably a little more than the 80 that I moved with two years ago.

To find out, today I’m installing another extension called “Tab Counter”. Now I always see how many tabs are currently open in the top right corner.

So there are 234 pieces (only 227 in the screenshot because I closed a few out of a guilty conscience) and you shouldn’t be surprised that Firefox sometimes has difficulties with it. But I need them all!
