NASA has announced that Argentina will have the privilege of witnessing the next annular solar eclipse, with maximum visibility in the region. This unique event will occur on Wednesday, October 2, between 1:50 p.m. and 5:30 p.m., with the peak viewing time at 3:45 p.m. During this time, the moon will not completely cover the sun, resulting in a spectacular “ring of fire” effect.
This phenomenon, similar to a total eclipse, occurs when the moon is at its furthest point from the Earth and effectively blocks the sun. The eclipse is expected to last approximately 7 and a half minutes as the moon passes in front of the sun.
According to NASA, the best locations to observe the eclipse in Argentina are the province of Santa Cruz, specifically between Tres Lagos and Perito Moreno, as well as along the coast from Puerto Santa Cruz to the north of Puerto Deseado.
Don’t miss this incredible celestial event that promises to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience for observers in Argentina.
