Energizer Unveils New Smartphone with Massive 28,000 mAh Battery at Mobile World Congress
BARCELONA – The battery manufacturer Energizer has made a splash at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona with the launch of its new smartphone, the P28K, which boasts an impressive 28,000 mAh battery – the largest ever seen on a mobile phone.
Developed by the French company Avenir Telecom under the Energizer brand, the P28K has a standby time of up to 50 days and can also function as an external battery to charge other devices. The phone is designed for users who live in areas with poor access to electricity or who require an extended battery life.
In addition to its remarkable battery capacity, the P28K offers solid technical specifications. It features a 6.78-inch screen with Full HD+ resolution, a MediaTek Helio G99 4G processor, 256 GB of internal memory, a 64-megapixel rear camera, and a 20-megapixel front camera. The phone is also water and dust resistant with an IP69 certification.
The P28K is set to go on sale in October, although the specific countries where it will be available have not yet been announced. However, it has been confirmed that the phone will not be released in the US market due to Avenir Telecom’s poor track record of failing to deliver on promises to launch other Energizer models.
Some specialized media outlets have raised doubts about the authenticity of the P28K, questioning whether it is a real product or just a prototype.
