The Federal Office for Security in Information Technology (BSI) issued a security advisory for VMware Tanzu Spring Framework on January 22, 2024. The security vulnerability affects the operating systems UNIX, Linux and Windows as well as the VMware Tanzu Spring Framework product.

VMware Tanzu Spring Framework Bug: Vulnerability enables denial of service
The Spring Framework provides a development model for Java with application-level infrastructure support.
A remote, anonymous attacker could exploit a vulnerability in VMware Tanzu Spring Framework to conduct a denial of service attack.
The vulnerability was classified using the CVE designation system (Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures) by the individual serial number CVE-2024-22233.
