Windows 11 finally has a new installation interface – Qooah

The Windows 11 Canary Build 26040 preview update has brought about significant changes to the Windows Setup installation experience. Microsoft has revamped the old installation interface, giving it a fresh and modern look.

Since the Windows Vista system, the installation interface has remained largely unchanged, becoming a bit outdated over time. However, the new image update of Windows 11 Canary Build 26040 preview version has ushered in a welcome change. The old ā€œInstall Nowā€ interface with a purple background has been replaced by a sleek new black and white interface, giving users a completely new visual experience.

Furthermore, the new installation experience now includes a guided language selection interface, along with new settings options such as installing Windows 11, repairing the computer, or opting for the traditional experience. Additionally, the redesigned settings interface integrates user prompt functions, prompting users to carefully consider their actions before proceeding.

Despite the updated interface, all traditional options such as product key input, version selection, and partition management are still available. However, there are some limitations to the user experience, such as the device compatibility prompt leading to a universal link on the official Windows 11 website, rather than directly displaying the computer specifications.

Moreover, the prompt for installing Windows 11 on incompatible hardware lacks specific hardware information, leaving users feeling somewhat helpless. Overall, the new installation experience brings a welcome visual refresh, but there are still areas where the user experience could be improved.
