Microsoft has (thankfully) confirmed the exact date and time for this summer’s Xbox Games Showcase. The event will take place on June 9th BST at 18:00 / 19:00 CEST. Like last year’s show, it will be followed by a second presentation, albeit this time a bit more secretive.
The second show hasn’t been explicitly confirmed, but The Verge did note that it will be tied to a 2024 Call of Duty game, purportedly Black Ops Gulf War.
Microsoft and Xbox stated, “This will also be our first showcase featuring games from our portfolio of studios including Activision, Blizzard, Bethesda and Xbox Game Studios, in addition to games from our third-party partners.”
Major releases scheduled for the second half of 2024 will undoubtedly be in attendance, including Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Avowed, and Ara: History Untold. There may also be projects teased in the past, like Fable, the Diablo IV expansion, maybe the Starfield Shattered Space expansion, and some other goodies from last year’s show, as well as a bunch of popular indie games.
