With the ViennaUP’23, the largest, decentralized startup festival in Europe starts again on May 30th. A large number of exciting events on various future topics will take place at various locations in Vienna until June 7th. A crowd of visitors is expected again, just last year 10,000 people from 67 countries took part in the ViennaUP. The sheer abundance of events can make it a challenge for visitors to find their way around. Around 60 events from 30 program partners

First things first: The ViennaUP is not a single major event, but dozens of individual events, all of which take place in Vienna. The kickoff for the series of events is on May 30 at 9 a.m. From then on, the events will take place over the next nine days from morning to evening. The organizer is the Vienna Business Agency, but the individual events are organized by the various partners.

Around 30 program partners from the Vienna start-up scene organize around 60 events here. Visitors have the advantage that they can individually select the events that interest them the most. It should be noted that each of these events requires a separate registration.

Book tickets online

To register for an event, a ViennaUP account is required. Registration is free and can be done here. As soon as the account is created, users can register for the events as long as tickets are still available. Most events have free tickets, while some require a fee to attend. The admission price can be viewed after registration on the ViennaUP platform. Most of the events take place exclusively on site in Vienna, although there are also some that can be visited online or even in the Metaverse.

In addition to the events, there will also be a supporting program like every year. The ViennaUP Homebase at Karlsplatz is once again central. It’s easy to find: keep an eye out for the iconic, neon-colored horse! Here visitors can find out more, meet each other and enjoy real Viennese cuisine. Registered participants have the opportunity to taste on site with their ViennaUP wristbands, which they receive at the events. In addition, as part of the event series Networking Coffeehouse Hours will take place in certain Viennese coffee houses, where the participants can network with each other.
