2 dead and 5 injured!Arizona mass shooting shooter still at large
China News Service, May 15 (Xinhua) according to the American Broadcasting Corporation (ABC), the Arizona State Police said that a mass shooting occurred at a party in the border city of Yuma in the state’s border city in the middle of the night on the 13th local time. At least 7 people were killed. Shot, 2 of them died.
According to reports, Craig Johnson of the Yuma Police Department said that the shooting occurred at about 11 p.m. on the 13th in a residential area southeast of downtown Yuma.
The police said that as of the 14th, no suspects had been detained. Investigators are currently working to identify the suspect and are offering a $1,000 reward for his arrest.
Several off-duty law enforcement officers were in the area when the shooting occurred and they responded quickly to assist with the incident, police said in a statement released on the 14th.
Officers who arrived at the scene found several people injured, police said. A 19-year-old man was found with serious injuries at the scene and was pronounced dead shortly after being taken to hospital in a private vehicle before police arrived. Another 20-year-old man was found at the scene with gunshot wounds and was taken to Yuma Regional Medical Center by the Yuma Fire Department, where he was pronounced dead.
Police also said a 16-year-old boy was taken to Yuma Regional Medical Center and then to another trauma center with life-threatening injuries in the shooting. Four other teens, ages 15 to 19, are being treated at Yuma Regional Medical Center but are not life-threatening.
Johnson said that although the suspect was still at large on the 14th, there was no credible ongoing threat to the community.
