Police said around 2,590 joint personnel were deployed to secure the action demonstration in front of DPR-MPR RI building Today. The demonstration is planned to be carried out by elements of students, workers and other members of the general public.
“In order to secure the actions of elements of society in front of the DPR/MPR RI building, we involved a total of 2,590 joint personnel from Polda Metro Jaya, Polres Metro Central Jakarta, TNI, DKI Regional Government and related agencies.” said Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief Commissioner Susatyo Purnomo Condro in his statement, Friday (1/3/2024).
Susatyo explained that his party had distributed personnel at a number of points around the DPR/MPR RI to provide security and prevent the protesters from entering the DPR/MPR RI area. His party will also carry out situational traffic engineering.

“We’ll see the size of the crowd. If there are quite a lot of people in front of the DPR/MPR RI and the escalation increases, then we will divert traffic that will be heading towards the front of the DPR/MPR RI building, blocking it on Pulau Dua. Vehicles from the inner toll lane “We will close the toll exit in front of the DPR/MPR RI and straighten towards Slipi,” said Susatyo.
He also appealed to the demonstrators to hold demonstrations peacefully and not anarchically and not to damage public facilities. He also asked the demonstrators to help maintain security.
“With the security preparations and readiness that we have carried out, we urge all parties to always maintain security and order, so that future demonstration activities can run safely, orderly and conducively.” he concluded.
