Indonesia will hold elections in 2024. This simultaneous election combines legislative and executive elections. Voters will be given five ballot papers at once.
The five 2024 Election ballot papers have different colors according to their designation. The 2024 Simultaneous Election consists of the President and Vice President (Pilpres) election as well as the Legislative Election (Pileg) to elect members of the DPR RI, provincial DPRD, district/city DPRD and DPD RI.

According to the official Indonesia Good website, election ballot papers are regulated in the Draft KPU Regulations (PKPU) regarding voting equipment, other supporting equipment and other voting equipment in the General Election.
In the 2024 Simultaneous Elections, there will be five different ballot papers for each election. Each ballot has characteristics and colors that differentiate it.

1. 2024 Election Ballot Paper is Gray
Gray ballot papers are used for the election of president and vice president (Pilpres). This ballot paper is to elect the presidential candidate and vice presidential candidate for the next period.
This ballot paper contains a photo of the candidate pair, the name of the candidate pair, the serial number of the candidate pair. Apart from that, there are signs with pictures of political parties and/or signs with pictures of combined political parties supporting the presidential and vice presidential candidates.
Make sure the ballot paper is not damaged or folded and that there are no voter identification marks. Mark or put a tick behind the photo of the candidate pair. Choose according to your conscience after understanding the candidate’s vision and mission during the previous campaign.
2. Yellow Election Ballots
Yellow ballot papers are used to elect members of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR). This ballot includes a number of information to make it easier for voters.
This ballot paper contains the names of the candidates for members of the DPR RI, the political party’s image and logo, the serial number of the political party, as well as the serial number and name of the candidate for members of the DPR. Use your right to vote by voting for DPR RI members according to your heart’s content.

3. Red Election Ballot
Red ballot to elect members of the Regional Representative Council (DPD). This ballot paper is an important instrument for electing people’s representatives in the regions.
The red ballot paper contains a list of DPD member candidates according to province, serial number, photo and name of the DPD member candidate. Voters can mark their preferred candidates by voting or ticking them.
4. Blue Election Ballot
Blue ballot papers are used to elect members of the provincial Regional People’s Representative Council (DPRD). This ballot contains a box or circle. The box or circle is filled in with ink by the voter according to the candidate for member of the provincial DPRD chosen.
This ballot paper contains a picture of the political party, the serial number of the political party, as well as the serial number and name of the candidate for member of the provincial DPRD. The KPU carries out tight security to prevent forgery and ensure the validity of the election.
5. Green Election Ballot
Green ballot to elect members of the district/city DPRD. Voters can tick the box containing the picture of the DPRD member candidate. Choose candidates for district/city DPRD members according to your conscience.
These ballot papers have a unique code or number to make it easier to count the votes. This ballot paper contains a picture of the political party, the serial number of the political party, as well as the serial number and name of the candidate for member of the district/city DPRD.
