Overseas Network, January 29thAccording to Reuters reports, on the 29th local time, a beach in eastern Thailand was declared a disaster area due to the leakage of a submarine crude oil pipeline. The leaked crude oil continued to wash the coast and the beach was dyed black.

According to reports, the crude oil pipeline began to leak on the 25th and has now been brought under control. About 50,000 liters of crude oil spilled into the ocean off Thailand’s east coast, and some of the crude oil spread in the bay and reached the beach on the evening of the 28th.

The Thai navy said about 150 workers and 200 navy personnel had been dispatched to clean up the beach and rescuers had set up oil booms. Twelve naval ships and three civilian vessels, as well as multiple aircraft, were involved in containing the leak. (Overseas Network Li Fang)
