A new case of bird flu in Croatia has been confirmed in two swans in the Sopot area, the Croatian Ministry of Agriculture announced.

The Ministry reminded that the last time bird flu was recorded was in mid-December at a fattening turkey farm in the municipality of Oriovac in the Brod-Posavina County.
In Croatia, there is an order in force on measures to prevent the occurrence and spread of avian flu, which stipulates the mandatory keeping of poultry and birds in closed spaces in order to prevent any contact with wild birds, Croatian media reports.
Signs of the disease in birds are sudden deaths without clinical signs of the disease, depression, ruffled feathers, coughing, sniffling, sinusitis, breathing with an open beak.
