DFB returnee Toni Kroos will most likely continue his career beyond the end of this season. According to media reports, the 34-year-old has received a contract offer from his club Real Madrid that is ready to be signed for another season, which he would reportedly like to accept. Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano first reported about it. Several media outlets – including Sky – confirmed his information.
After the home European Championships, Kroos would be entering his eleventh season with the Royals. In 2014 he moved from FC Bayern to Spain as world champion, and with Real he won the Champions League four times, among other things.
Last Saturday, Kroos returned to the German national team after a break of almost three years in Lyon against France (2-0). He played his 108th international match (17 goals) against the Netherlands (2-1) on Tuesday.
