ASTON Villa played out a goalless draw at home to Ajax in the first leg of the last 16 of the UEFA Conference League, Friday (8/3) early morning WIB.
Both teams ended the match with 10 players in a match with minimal opportunities.
Ezri Konsa was given the first red card for the visitors in the 82nd minute before Ajax player Tristan Gooijer was sent off by the referee for receiving a second yellow card, 4 minutes later.

Ajax and Aston Villa both struggled to create chances and when the home team did get one, Emilian Martinez successfully blocked a long-range effort from Kenneth Taylor.
However, in other European Conference League matches, many goals were scored, with a total of 11 goals.
Canadian striker Jonathan David scored a goal in each half as Lille won at home to Sturm Graz.

With 20 minutes remaining in the match, Edon Zhegrova made Paulo Fonseca’s boys win 3-0.
Maccabi Tel Aviv performed brilliantly in Greece to beat Olympiakos 4-1.
Eran Zahavi and Ido Shakar scored goals after just 10 minutes of the game to put the visitors 2-0 up.
Ayoub El Kaabi reduced Olympiakos’ deficit 4 minutes later. However, Zahavi scored again in the 60th minute and Dor Peretz made the score 4-1 in favor of Maccabi Tel Aviv.
