After the Indonesian U-23 national team’s 0-1 defeat to Guinea U-23 in the 2024 Paris Olympics playoffs on Thursday (09/05/2024) at 20.00 WIB.
Many suspect that one of the Guinea U-23 players named Alseny Soumah has exceeded the permitted age limit.
According to regulations and data from Transfermarkt, the player Alseny Soumah can play in last night’s match must be born on January 1, 2001.

The player’s name is a different person from Alseny Soumah who is a member of the Guinea U-23 national team.

Thus, there is no indication that age theft occurred. The Guinea U-23 national team still has the right to qualify for the 2024 Paris Olympics.
