Pokrovsk (Donetsk) – It is never really night in the Donbass. Lightning without rain illuminates the starry sky to the east, north and south: the horizon of a permanent storm, which does not go away and, indeed, is approaching. Observed from the terrace of a Pokrovsk hostel, in the center of the Russian pincer, the Donbass flashes have this characteristic: they talk to each other, conversing in the Morse code of lights and explosions which, for a hundred days, has been the official language of the hottest front of the ‘Ukraine.
