Andrés Pastrana confronts Gustavo Petro and affirms that there was fraud in the 2022 elections

by admin

President Gustavo Petro once again raised concerns about Colombia’s electoral system during the inauguration of the new magistrates of the Council of State. He criticized the Registry’s software, alleging that it poses a threat to Colombian democracy.

In response, former president Andrés Pastrana pointed out that the software in question was also used in Petro’s own election, implying that his claims of fraud in the 2022 presidential elections are unfounded.

Petro went on to accuse the electoral system of committing fraud against political parties, specifically mentioning the Mira Party. He claimed that the Registry’s software is vulnerable to manipulation, both from inside and outside sources, and that it was through this manipulation that the alleged fraud occurred.

These comments have stirred up controversy and renewed debate about the integrity of Colombia’s electoral process. Critics argue that Petro’s accusations undermine public trust in the system, while supporters believe that his scrutiny is necessary in order to ensure fair and transparent elections in the future.
