AS Roma went berserk against Cagliari in the 2023/2024 Italian League. The Capital Wolves won by a landslide, 4-0.

Playing at the Olimpico, Rome, Tuesday (6/2/2024), Roma were able to lead by two goals in the first half. Goals from Lorenzo Pellegrini and Paulo Dybala gave the hosts the lead until the break.

Two additional goals can be added in the second half. A second goal from Dybala and a goal from Dean Huijsen ensured the Giallorossi’s victory.

This result makes Roma move up to fifth place in the 2023/2024 Italian League standings with 38 points from 23 matches. Meanwhile Cagliari is in 18th position with 18 points.

The Course of the Match

Roma immediately got a goal shortly after kick off. Lorenzo Pellegrini broke through Cagliari’s goal in the second minute, after releasing a right-footed shot that led to a goal from the left side of the opponent’s penalty box. Score 1-0, the hosts immediately took the lead.

Roma practically took control of the game after winning 1-0. Daniele De Rossi’s team can provide several opportunities.

Cagliari is not without resistance. Andrea Petagna cs could also press, but his efforts were less effective.

Roma’s lead increased again in the 59th minute. This time Dean Huijsen was able to head the ball in from a corner kick. The score was 4-0.

In the remaining time of the match, Cagliari had several opportunities but failed to score a goal. However, Roma’s 4-0 victory remained until the final whistle sounded.
