Anne Hathaway had an awkward moment when appearing as a guest star on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallen. He was ‘fazed’ by the audience.
This happened when Hathaway and Fallon discussed Anne’s latest film, The Idea of You. The film is based on the book of the same title by Robinne Lee and stars Hathaway with Nicholas Galitzine.

In a video that appeared on YouTube on Tuesday (30/4), Fallon asked about the actor who plays with Hathaway in the film, Nicholas Galitzine, who plays the lead singer of a boy band named Hayes Campbell.
“Nick Galitzine,” jawab Anne Hathaway.
“Oh my gosh, you guys have chemistry which is really good,” chimed in Fallon. “Did you know ‘he’s the one’ when you auditioned?”
“Oh yes,” said Hathaway, who also acts as a producer on the film.
“Yeahno, as soon as he did… I actually laughed out loud even when he came in…” explained Hathaway. “Has anyone here read the book?”
However, Hathaway’s sudden question to the Jimmy Fallon audience only resulted in silence.

“No, we don’t read books,” answered Fallon, breaking the silence and being greeted by laughter from the audience.
“Well, you should read it. It’s really good,” said Anne Hathaway.
“This is the Tonight Show. You have to go to Stephen Colbert, if you want people to read books,” answered Fallon.
Realizing she was ‘in the wrong place’, Anne Hathaway laughed blushingly. He even covered his face because he ‘didn’t connect’ with his environment at that time.
In a joint interview CNNIndonesia.com some time ago, Anne Hathaway admitted that she had her favorite scene in the film because it depicted Solène and Hayes’ dynamic relationship.
“I don’t know why I like the scene when the refrigerator breaks. I don’t remember whether it was improvised or not, but you said ‘Woman, time’s a-wastin,'” said Anne Hathaway.
“But your way [Nicholas Galitzine] said it and Soléne smiled, it was a wonderful thing. They immediately had chemistry.”
He also considered that the scene where Solène and Hayes faced a broken refrigerator described love. According to him, the gesture of loving someone is not always through big things but also from simple things.
“Don’t get me wrong, big romantic acts are beautiful, but I think romance lives within a person like, ‘It’s going to rain, bring an umbrella,'” said Anne.
“Like someone who looks after you, someone who can accompany you to clean the contents of a broken refrigerator and have fun while doing it, that’s love in my opinion.”
The story of The Idea of You focuses on Solène (Anne Hathaway), a 40-year-old single mother who begins an unexpected love story with 24-year-old Hayes Campbell (Nicholas Galitzine), the lead singer of the popular boy band, August Moon.
It all started when Solène had to replace her ex-husband in accompanying their daughter to the Coachella Music Festival. There, he accidentally met Hayes and they immediately felt a strong attraction.
After that meeting, both of them became drunk in love. However, Hayes’ superstar status presents inevitable challenges to their relationship.
The film will also star Ella Rubin, Annie Mumolo, Reid Scott, Perry Mattfeld, Jordan Aaron Hall, Mathilda Gianopoulos, Raymond Cham Jr., Jaiden Anthony, Viktor White, and Dakota Adan.
The Idea of You premieres May 2 on Prime Video.
